CanNRT Fellowship

The CanNRT Fellowship is a competitive program designed to support trainees in Canadian universities in the field of neurodevelopment.

Fellowships recognize excellence of selected trainees and advance their career development.

The three-year program offers financial support, immersive learning opportunities, and mentorship through :

Entry award

Fellows receive a one-time entry award ranging from $20,000 to $50,000 CAD, depending on their career stage.

This one-year award can be held during any period of enrolment (up to three years), starting on September 1 or January 1. 

Training Passport

Fellows receive up to $2,000 CAD annually (for the duration of their enrolment in the program) to maximize their engagement in activities tailored to their career development, such as taking part in conferences, pursuing additional training, and organizing trainee-led workshops.

Annual Summer School

An immersive learning experience bringing together Fellows and faculty.

An essential part of the program, the Annual Summer School includes lectures, career skills workshops, and networking opportunities with cross-sector mentors.

Acceptance notification: May 2025

Program start: August 18-22, 2025, at mandatory Summer School
