Call for applications: Participation in the 6th annual GIS Autism and NDD conference and the Young Researchers Mentoring afternoon

The Transforming Autism Care Consortium (TACC) and the Canadian Neurodevelopmental Research Training Platform (CanNRT), in collaboration with GIS Autisme et TND, invite graduate students and postdoctoral fellows to apply for a unique opportunity to participate in two scientific events in Paris, France:

  • Young Researchers Mentoring Afternoon – October 8, 2025
  • 6th Annual GIS Autisme et TND Conference – October 9, 2025

About GIS Autisme et TND

GIS Autisme et TND is a research network based out of Paris, supported by France’s national strategy for neurodevelopmental conditions. It brings together more than 100 research teams across disciplines and collaborates with frontline practitioners, individuals with living and lived experience, and families, with the goal of placing science at the heart of clinical and social practices.

An international research experience

This initiative will support the participation of one graduate student or postdoctoral fellow in both events. It offers a valuable opportunity to engage in international scientific exchange, share research findings, expand professional networks, and gain exposure to a global research environment.

Funding offered

One selected graduate student or postdoctoral fellow will receive financial support to attend both events, including:

  • Round-trip airfare from Montreal to Paris
  • Accommodation for the duration of the two events
  • Meals during the conference days
  • Option for additional nights (with proof of a scheduled training activity or lab visit organized by the participant)


Eligibility criteria

  • Be enrolled at a Canadian university (Master’s, PhD, or postdoctoral level)
  • Conduct research related to neurodevelopment and associated conditions, with a demonstrated interest in experimental modeling
  • Be a trainee member of the CanNRT platform – Click here to join
  • Have a functional understanding of French (both events will be conducted entirely in French)

  • A letter of interest (max. 1 page) – Describe your background, and explain how your research aligns with the conference theme
  • A curriculum vitae following the format of the Tri-Council Agencies
  • A letter of support from your supervisor (max. 1 page)
